Deodorization, Indoor Air Remediation and Sterilization Services

GHMS uses a proprietary hydroxyl generator to provide deodorization treatment that is highly effective, safe, and by-product free. There are no chemicals and no need to vacate the space. The treatment will not harm pets, plants or other contents. GHMS technicians carefully place equipment and leave it running for typically one to three days depending on the severity of the odors.

This service is ideal for lingering odors after fires and water damage. GHMS multifamily clients, apartments and university residence halls in particular, are often in need of odor removal during tenant turnover to ensure a fresh smelling unit that will rent more quickly. Likewise, retail property managers also use this service.

We’ve deodorized tobacco, nail salon, perfume and candle stores for example. After a guest smokes in a designated non-smoking hotel room, it’s ideal for quickly making the room smell fresh and clean again. Residential realtors also find a deodorization treatment can work wonders to sell a home more quickly. Whether it’s odors from cigarettes or cigars, pets, cooking, etc., we can take care of it.

Indoor Air Remediation and Sterilization Services
Indoor air quality can be a concern for any occupant, but especially those with respiratory illnesses such as asthma, children, the elderly, and those with compromised immune systems. GHMS indoor air remediation and sterilization services use a proprietary technology developed by L-3 in partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense called SteraMist to deactivate viruses and kill bacteria, spores, mold and fungi in the air and on surfaces, quickly and effectively.

Following outbreaks or viruses such as MRSA, Norovirus or other highly contagious illness by a hotel guest, hospital patient, university student, cruise ship passenger, etc., GHMS technicians use a portable “point and shoot” SteraMist unit to quickly sterilize high risk/high touch surfaces or place a mobile SteraMist unit to sterilize both air and surfaces.

Studies in hospitals show that spray and wipe cleaning leaves between 30% and 60% of surface microorganisms. The SteraMist treatment removes 99.9999% of all microorganisms by aerosolizing a 7.5% hydrogen peroxide solution to create reactive oxygen species in a fine mist.

Ficus Whitefly

The ficus whitefly is an exotic pest first detected in 2007, it was reported attacking ficus trees and hedges in Miami-Dade County, but now it is found in all of South Florida. This whitefly causes extensive damage to ficus trees and hedges. The leaves of ficus trees infested with whiteflies begin to turn yellow before the leaves are dropped from the plant. Defoliation is one of the most obvious symptoms of an infestation of ficus whitefly. However, if you have defoliation, you have had the whitefly for numerous months. In addition to defoliation, there can be branch dieback. Gardens Home Management Services has an effective program to keep Ficus Whitefly from attacking trees and hedges.
